Right now my life outside of school is mainly focused on maintaining a work-life balance. I currently work at James Avery at the premium outlets. Although I picked this job up as a seasonal job over the summer, I have come to really enjoy learning how to solder, fix, clean, and maintain jewelry. I am attempting to save up money at the moment as I plan to move in to a house in San Antonio at the end of the year. Besides work, I am trying to focus on school and giving myself allocated time to enjoy my hobbies like climbing and video games!
I have always enjoyed playing video games and spent much of my time growing up infront of a computer screen. I like the competitive side of FPS games and having to think quickly and react to what is happening around me. I also enjoy playing other types of games, from story-driven games to more casual games that I can play to relax. Recently, I have gotten more interested in Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon, which have given me new ways to enjoy gaming and collecting(hoarding). Overall, video games are one of my favorite ways to relax, have fun, and spend time with my friends.
Away from my computer- I love rock climbing. I began climbing when I was 9 years old and went on to be a competitive climber in Houston for a couple of years. Unfortunately COVID-19 really impacted my ability to go to the gym and thus I ended up taking a nearly 4 year break from climbing all together. Since beginning college, I have been very fortunate to be near a climbing gym both here at Texas State and suprisingly at my previous university in Korea. Although I am admittedly not much of an outdoors person so I stick to climbing at indoor gyms.
