My Experience

One of the most important experiences I have had was attending the University of Utah Asia Campus in Incheon, South Korea. I attended the university before transferring to Texas State University. While I was there, I studied Communications and Information Systems. Being able to attend college in another country gave me experiences that I would not have had otherwise. It also helped me become more comfortable adapting to new environments.

During my time in South Korea, I became very involved at my university through my positions in the Student Government and as a student ambassador. I quickly became the first international student and youngest Student Council President which gave me a lot of very interesting opportunities in international politics. I was a founding member of a local youth organization that connected universities across Incheon to advocate for students with the local governors and led to city wide movements for better student outcomes. Through my position I was also given an opportunity to meet and discuss the flight route through Delta connecting Salt Lake City to Incheon. You can see me in the front of the Governor of Utahs Linkedin posts! These positions gave me an incredible amount of experience which has helped me navigate my career back here in the states.

My college experience has also influenced what I want to study and do in the future. I became interested in digital media and technology through my education and experiences. I am now majoring in Digital Media Innovation at Texas State University. I am also minoring in Spatial Data Science and Health. I hope these areas of study will give me a variety of skills that I can use in my future career.
